WOW, when Nick told me that Mary Lynn (who plays Chloe on the show 24) phoned in her voice acting for the pinball, he wasn't kidding. I don't think even Ben Stein could have said the lines any less enthusiastically. Except for the voice acting, the game looks pretty cool. This summer we will hopefully get some nice footage with my camera of the table in action.
Time for some NEWS!!! Videotopia, the international traveling museum of video games will be in Rochester, New York from May 30, 2009 till November 1, 2009. The exhibit will include over 100 restored and new arcade games. Admission is free, but you have to pay for the tokens. A neat thing about the exhibit are the power up stations scattered throughout. These stations will have gaming trivia that if you answer correctly, you can win tokens. There are also information kiosks that contain historical information on video games, home consoles, and arcade games. Videotopia does a great job restoring their games. The Press Start crew got a chance to check them out a few years back at Philly Classic 5 where they donated a bunch of the arcade games for the convention. Press Start, in some shape or form will be checking out this exhibit sometime over the summer (and maybe even some international Arcade Hunters episodes from Canada!!!).
Enjoy the video and check back next week for some more stuff. The new Arcade Hunters episode is in the works and will hopefully be finished in a week or so. Also, mark these three dates on your calendar: 11th Annual International Classic Videogame Tournament May 28-31st at Funspot NH, Tokyo Game Action Auction June 6th Winchendon, Mass., and PAPA 12 World Pinball Championships August 13-16, in PA!!! Press Start in some shape or form will be attending these three events.

I shouldn't have told 2600 I would have the 24 video ready in time. I almost completely forgot it was Mothers Day weekend. When that weekend rolls around everything at my house goes insane. My mom has to make sure everything is perfect and it becomes a nonstop ride of fun to get the house clean and make sure we have enough food for the family.
I was able to get the 24 video done and was able to clip the two video together and it's up now on Blip, but since 2600 said he'd like to do news on Wednesday and a video on Friday, I guess I'll just link it on Friday. It's up now on the Blip site if you'd like to watch it now, but I will post it on the next update on Friday.
Here's where I'd have the news, but guess what...I don't feel like doing it. Why? Am I lazy? No, it's because I'm again addicted to Fallout3. CI and The Captain were the big Fallout fans when the first two games came out on the PC but I didn't really get into it with all the pointing and the clicking and whatnot. They did make 3 more accessible to people who weren't as used to adventure games and making it more like an FPS where you miss, but damn, the game's got me hooked all over again.
Since I got my new PC I knew I could play it and I got the game during Christmas break with a Best Buy gift card and it was the only game I played. Now with the final expansion, Broken Steel, it's all I've been playing for the past week and a half.
I had downloaded Operation Anchorage, but was pissed off when I found out I couldn't level past 20, so I held off on getting The Pitt and waited some more for the Windows Live problem and got Broken Steel when they put it back up to download.
Besides the game crashing on me for no reason, the game has been amazing even after a second run through. The first character I made was a Kenshiro type character from Fist of The North Star, who tries to make peace with everybody and is unarmed. Getting the Paralyzing Palm perk is awesome and one hit can make even the biggest Super Mutant will fall like a sack of bricks.
I'm using a character with guns now and with the other two expansions, I'm looking forward to getting more of them and trying out how they all work. So thanks for reading and we'll be back on Friday with the 24 Pinball video.

24 PINBALL and PIXEL PILL EPISODE 2!!!
2600 - writer/artist - posted on Saturday, 05/09/09 1:13:04 EDT
EDIT: The 24 Pinball video will be up Friday. Instead we got a video
form I-CON 28 with Matt Hawkins Gamer Court!
Nick had a chance to go down to Castle Video and try out the new 24 Pinball this past Thursday. Nick was also able to get some video footage with his digital camera of the 24 Pinball. The 24 Pinball video will be uploaded when Nick finishes editing it for Friday.
Also, don't forget to check out (if you haven't yet) PIXEL PILL Episode 2
where we cover Sunsoft games. Brian over at Substance TV did an amazing job editing the podcast. We also have to give a big shout out to Pineconeattack! for plugging Pixel Pill, the kind words they said about Pixel Pill episode 2, and for simply being an awesome site that also has a great podcast.
Also, be sure to check out Video Game Trader Magazine. Nick and I have been doing a lot of stuff for them. Our first "Made in Japan" article will be appearing in the July issue with a very special import game. A continuous story arc Press Start comic also appears "exclusively" in VGTM as well. Nick and I also have our own Press Start blog on VGTM. So far we just have articles about the comic, but we will soon be including classic gaming and arcade articles. If you want a good idea on what the story arc comic is like, head on over to VGTM and check out the Press Start blog.
Well that's about it for tonight, be sure to check back this weekend for a new videoo and don't forget about the Funspot Tournament starting May 28th and the Tokyo Game Action Auction on June 6th.
P.S. New Arcade Hunters episodes soon, new web-comics soon, and the Press Start video game is still in pre-production and should be moving into production this summer!
Dom DeLuise 1933 –2009
Nick - writer - posted on Wednesday, 05/06/09 22:48:14 EDT
When I asked 2600 about what news we should put up this week, he told me he wanted to put a mention to the late Dom DeLuise. He said, "I know it's a bit obscure, but I have been playing the arcade game "Stocker" a lot lately and the game reminds me so much of Cannonball Run between the cross country racing and the ridiculously jovial music (I can just picture Dom DeLuise bouncing around in the back seat while playing Stocker).
I'll always remember him as the voice of Pizza The Hutt in Spaceballs, Candid Camera and the director in the one scene of Blazing Saddles. "Watch. Me. *******!!"
Pixel Pill number 2 is out and ready for your listening enjoyment. This time we talk about one of our favorite 3rd party game developers from the NES days, Sunsoft. They made great games like Blaster Master, Batman and Gremlins 2 but once they made it to the 16-Bit era they pretty much died out. They did have a few great games in the 90's with Neo-Geo's Waku Waku 7, being one of them, but now it looks like all they do is cell phone games in Japan now. Come on guys! You saw how good Mega Man 9 did! How about another 2-D Blaster Master!
Pixle Pill 2 at Substance TV
C.I and I might be heading off to Castle Video tomorrow and if we do, I'll be taking my camera for a video of Stern's 24 pinball machine. It's sad to know their new NBA themed game is nothing more then their old game based on the Space Jam movie with a spinner in the middle. So much for a "new" pinball machine. But I guess I should be glad their still in business with how everything's been going.
Well, that's it for tonight. I'm going to play more Fallout 3. I made a new character to prepare for Broken Steel and it sucks that the patch is well....broken.
Tokyo Game Action Auction June 6th
Nick - writer - posted on Saturday, 04/25/09 2:55:30 EDT
Here's our video to help advertise Tokyo Game Action's auction on June 6th. As I said in the video all of the machines will be worked on before their sold at the auction, so you won't get any surprises if you win one. I've heard nothing but good thing about Super Auctions and I'm glad their going to be doing the TGA Auction.
Thanks to everybody that has gotten the word out so far. On Youtube the video's had almost 200 hits in less then a day, but we're using the Blip version here because it embeds better, but no matter which video you send, do it. Everything helps.
If your watching the video on here for the first time, go to the pictures link on the left and you'll see the two albums in my Photo Bucket one is "SF IV at TGA" and the other is "Tokyo Game Action 7-08" if you'd like to see the pictures of the place.
I'm going to be sending out the videos to a couple of other sites to help get the word out, but if you know of anybody else that would want to post this, please go ahead and do so, so we can get the word out.
I just spoke to Brian tonight and he said that Pixel Pill 2 should be finished next week, so stay tuned here for that. I'll also be uploading some more videos onto our Blip page so we can share them here in the future.
